Skin Blemishes International Day

Skin Blemishes International Day

May 25th is the International Day of Skin Blemishes. The term blemish refers to any type of hyperpigmentation in the skin, which most of the time is benign and not life-threatening.

Overexposure to the sun is one of the main causes of blemishes. When we spend a long time under the sun, harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause the production of melanin to accelerate, which can lead to uneven skin tone or dark patches. As we mentioned, most blemishes are benign and not life-threatening, however, some can signal skin cancer. Make sure to use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to protect your skin.

Many plant-based oils and essential oils are beneficial to treating hyperpigmentation and blemishes. Their natural botanical benefits provide oxygen, hydration, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fatty acids, and proteins to nourish and protect the skin.

Our Blossom Body Oil combines organic jojoba oil and organic rosehip oil which provide a rich dose of antioxidants to nourish, hydrate, protect and lighten the skin.

Our Bliss Face Oil is infused with a variety of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory botanicals. We have crafted a soothing product that decongests and treats inflammation while building up the health of your skin. Ideal for stressed, inflamed, and barrier-compromised skin types.
