Through a series of simple yet impactful facial exercises, you'll experience benefits such as improved circulation, enhanced skin elasticity, and a naturally youthful appearance.
Here's our suggested Gua Sha + Facial Cupping routine for each day of the week, along with some general tips:
Monday: Opening the neck
Give some attention to your neck and décolletage area. Begin at the base of your neck and stroke upwards towards your jawline. Pay extra attention to any areas of tension. Finish with gentle strokes along your collarbone.
Tuesday: Jawline + Chin
Work on defining your jawline by using upward strokes from your chin towards your ears. This can help with lymphatic drainage and contouring. Pay attention to any areas of tightness.
Wednesday: Cheek Sculpting
Focus on your cheeks by gently gliding your Gua Sha + Face Cup from the corner of your mouth towards your ears. This can help lift and sculpt the cheek area. Be sure to use light pressure and go at your own pace.
Thursday: Eye Area Emphasis
Using the curved part of your Gua Sha tool, gently sweep from the inner corner of your eye towards your temples. This can help alleviate tension around the eye area and reduce the appearance of dark circles. Repeat a few times on each side.
Friday: Eyebrows
Gently place the curved edge of the tool at the inner corner of your eyebrow, right above the bridge of your nose. With light pressure, start gliding the tool gently along the eyebrow bone towards the outer corner of your eye. Follow the natural curve of your eyebrow.
Saturday: Forehead relaxation
Using the flat edge of your Gua Sha tool, stroke gently across your forehead from the center outwards. This can also help smooth forehead lines.
Sunday: Full Face Integration
Wrap up the week by integrating all the techniques you've practiced. Go through each area of your face with gentle pressure and strokes. Focus on any areas that feel tense or congested. Take your time and enjoy the process.
General Tips:
-
Cleanse and Hydrate: Always start with a clean face and apply a hydrating serum or facial
oil to provide glide for your Gua Sha tool.
-
Gentle Pressure: Use light to moderate pressure to avoid causing discomfort or irritation. The goal is to promote relaxation and circulation, not to cause pain.
-
Direction Matters: Always stroke in an upward and outward direction to encourage lymphatic drainage and promote circulation.
-
Consistency is Key: Consistency is more important than intensity. Dedicate a few minutes each day for the best results.
-
Listen to Your Skin: Pay attention to how your skin responds. If an area is sensitive or irritated, be gentle or avoid it altogether.
Remember, this routine is just a guideline. Customize it to your own preferences and the needs of your skin. Enjoy your Gua Sha + Face Cupping journey to a healthier, glowing complexion!
