Karol's Top 3 Habits to Treat Sensitive, Angry & Inflamed Skin.

I’ve been dealing with rosacea since I was about 18 years old. My skin became extremely sensitive to almost everything out there, making me react to skincare products, foods, detergents and other day-to-day basics. Throughout the years, I’ve managed to develop certain habits that have helped keep my rosacea and redness under control, allowing me to feel better under my skin.

Habit #1 - Less is more!
I truly live by this, I have simplified my routine so much! I went from having a 10-step skincare routine to a 4-5 step skincare routine. I mostly use oils now, they help calm down inflammation while fighting it, reducing the amount of flare ups and breakouts & controlling redness. I swear by this, feeding your gut the right ingredients is key to balance your skin. I start my day with a glass of water + lemon, followed by 8 oz of chlorophyll water. I then take my breakfast and I make sure to include about 16 oz of green juice, this has helped clear my skin in so many ways! It feels brighter, less irritated, breakout-free and healthy.

Throughout the day I keep drinking chlorophyll water. I also take my morning vitamin C, I love using Pique Life, they are delicious + very effective. Keeping your body hydrated will ensure your skin looks healthy and refreshed, and the antioxidants will help fight inflammation inside your body.

 

Habits #3 - Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

It’s important to keep a very rich creamy and non-comedogenic nourishing cream as part of your skincare routine. If you are dealing with sensitivity or rosacea, you need to focus on protecting your skin barrier. When you moisturize your skin, you ensure your skincare barrier stays healthy and protected. This is key to balance your skin. Focus on using products with ingredients like ceramides, glycerin, and gentle ingredients. Stay away from anything that has fragrance or harsh ingredients, your goal is to calm the skin and avoid any possible skin irritants.
